When you come to see Tim or Isobel you will first have a consultation. At your consultation we will ask you to go through the history of your symptom, your medical history, and your general health. This applies to both Acupuncture and Chinese herbs.

Acupuncture is based on the theory that our good health depends on 
a life–giving force , Qi, which animates the body energetically and is concentrated in channels (meridians) which maintain the proper functioning of all of the organs. We practice an integrated Five Element and TCM style of Acupuncture.

Chinese herbal medicine has a recorded history of over 2,000 years and is the oldest form of medicine still in use today. Tim has been treating patients with Chinese herbs for nearly 20 years and has been hugely impressed with the results.

For acupuncture, treatment is weekly and becomes less frequent with improvement in health. For herbs, treatment is less often – most often every few weeks, or once a month.

Tim and Isobel always refer to GPs and other practitioners if we think it necessary.

Acupuncture (45-55 mins): £80

Chinese Herbs (30 mins): £60

Cost of Herbs: £20 - £25 per week

We have a busy practice, with people always waiting for appointments. For this reason we have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Please let us know with at least this amount of notice, otherwise we need to charge in full.
